Join me for a Social Media Session in Jackson, Wyoming! All attendees are encouraged to bring their laptop and/or mobile devices to any and every session. The number of attendees will be limited so there is ample opportunities to try things out and ask questions, and will be scheduled for two hours in length:
Twitter: Get hands on experience, including an explanation of what happens when you follow someone or when you’re being followed, how to find people to follow, and how in the world did they find you. We’ll talk about what hashtags are and why you use them, about how to share photos and links to websites, and we’ll discussion how to use all of this stuff to benefit your business or cause. If you’re a mobile device junkie, bring it and learn how to tweet on the fly. Limit: 6 people. [registration]
Facebook: Most people have seen or used Facebook for their own personal use, but in this session we’ll spend time demonstrating how to use this tool in your business, non-profit, group, or organization. We’ll also take a look at the mobile applications available to keep your information updated when away from the office or home. You’ll see how to switch between your personal account and your business page, as well as how to find people and pages to follow that are related to your interests. Limit: 6 people. [registration]
LinkedIn: I call this “Facebook’s more serious cousin”. We’ll spend time showing you how to setup a profile and what you might want to include in order to help promote yourself and find others. You’ll learn how to create and join Groups as well as jumping in on conversations and updating your status. Limit: 6 people. [registration]
WordPress: Looking to create a dynamic and easy to maintain online presence? Wordpress is a great tool to make this often expensive and frustrating task enjoyable. We’ll take time to show the no cost options to generating a website or blog and demonstrate how easy it can be to keep it regularly updated, and without the need to know what html even stands for. Limit: 6 people. [registration]
